The lifting columns consist of a two-section aluminum extrusion with built in guides that extends and retracts with the help of an integrated linear drive. The actuator is equipped with a 24 volt DC motor with worm gear that translates the rotary motion with the help of a spindle nut system into a linear movement. Built in stops to prevent over or under movement of slides. The linear drive is self-locking in any position. There are mounting holes on top and bottom in all 4 corners. Base of unit is slotted so the cords can exit the side of the unit when it is mounted to a base.
