SIGNALpro is Advanced Signal's tool for assisting paging system operators in better managing their paging and NPCS channels. SIGNALpro is used to help technical personnel to better understand their system's performance characteristics. EDX SignalPro can perform area-wide coverage prediction and interference analysis, and it offers detailed link budgets and interference analysis for point-to-point microwave or other general radio links. Groundcover (i.e., land use or "clutter") data and building data can be included to refine the signal level predictions, and multiple propagation models can be used in a single study.
Study results can be displayed in a number of ways, and multiple studies can be displayed simultaneously. Further, measurement data can be imported, displayed, statistically compared to study results, and used to create point-slope or custom propagation models for your unique systems.
With EDX SignalPro, you can create incredibly detailed base maps using street-level vector data, boundary data, scanned map images, aerial photographs, or any other raster image. You can display more than one study or map at a time, drape signal levels over 3D terrain images, or instantly view the terrain profile associated with a point in a coverage or interference study.
Optional system design modules are available to provide more specialized capabilities. These modules extend EDX SignalPro's capabilities to the specialized requirements of LMDS, MMDS, WLL, and PCS/cellular system design, as well as 3D outdoor/indoor ray-tracing studies.
