I have a quantity of eighty-four (84 ea.) identical, clean, Electrical switches from Control Products, Inc., bought new in 1998 (at over 10.00 each!) never used, stored dry ever since. To be sold as a lot.
These very high-quality momentary switches are normally open ("off" until actuated), with two 18 ga. braided copper wire leads with silicon jacket and water and dust resistant mil spec connector (male side only) attached. The switches are actuated by pressing on the stainless steel tang, which in turn presses on the completely encapsulated, waterproof switch mechanism. The switches are factory-rated for millions of cycles.
Clips along both sides of the very thin switch body allow the wires to be routed tightly alongside the switch in the opposite direction that they emerge from it, if desired. They have a mounting slot at one end. Excellent for limit switches in manufacturing, etc. This type of switch was originally developed as a cash-box sensor for pay phones. I originally purchased these switches for some electronic playground activities that I was designing for public playspaces (a very tough environment for sure!), but the project was stopped before it could get past the prototype stage. Switches like these continue to be made by CPI.
