These scales are for use in gas chlorine stations that are commonly found in water systems, wastewater
treatment plants, and swimming pool facilities.
Scales are used to determine the amount of chlorine fed. The only way to determine the actual chlorine
used is to weigh the cylinders on a daily basis. Using this data and the system flow volume the actual
chlorine dosage can be calculated. By calculating dosage daily, and comparing the results to the
residuals, the operator can separate mechanical chlorine problems from contamination problems.
The net weight scales are the most common type used with 100 and 150 pound cylinders because they
weighs two cylinders separately. This allows theoperator to determine visually the amount of chlorine
