Offered for purchase is an older used Variac Autotransformer by General Radio Company in good condition. This contactor was pulled from working service when project 463 was shelved. The Variac was used to control power to an electric resistance heating element.
This thing is a monster of an autotransformer. 65 pounds. I could not find anything on line to even compare it to.
