Progressive Animatics Smartmotor 4" Wafer Sorter Stages
This lot is a Left & Right pair of Progressive System Technologies RTS/FF 45-90deg. wafer sorter stages, assembled in Texas by GL Automation Inc (GLA). Also included are associated cabling, a connection box and a Shindengen HVW24010G power supply. These were pulled from a sorting robot that was removed from service. The motors are Animatics SmartMotor SM2320, and the gearboxes are Dynact I-M-A5-T2-N23-04.
These stages have one purpose: an operator lays a cassette of 4" wafers on them as they lie horizontal (like the one on the left). The machine sends the appropriate commands and the stages stand up and point the cassette 45 degrees to the side, facing toward the sorting arm (like the one on the right). The machine these were part of was under testing at our facility and it started to initialize the robot, and power was cut to the machine (oops). The robot would not initialize after that, saying that the robot was not homed. No further testing was performed.
