I recently aquired this in a lot of someones obviously "saved for maybe tomm. junk" It`s an old electric motor. I dug it out, got out my test cord and put it to the test through the missing plate that covers the contacts. On the second try after an initial arc welding experience it crackled to life and tried to run across my kitchen floor. Propped it up with a rug and sure enough, it works.
Here`s the specs, gleaned from the plate that remaine on the piece.
1/3 HP 115 volts 60 cycles RPM 1140/1725 6.9 amps
