Here are some surface mount sim card sockets which you may find useful if you are interested in any kind of sim card experimentation or reimplementation. I dug into my box of GSM cell phones and carefully removed these sockets using a Pace desoldering station so that you won't have to try to solder wires onto those little sim cards next time you want to tap into one!
