*MEASURES: Square face mounting plate approx. 4 1/4" X 4 1/4". Depth is approx. 3 1/4". Pictures of the back and side depth will be sent upon request.
*CONDITION: These old gauges appear to have been mounted and used at one time. Transformer they were used on was probably updated and all the equipment was changed also. These gauges were kept in storage for many, many years. My guess is that they are still in working condition but testing them is difficult without a high DC power source. These gauges were kept in their original styrofoam container with the instructions intact until I aquired them. They were taken out of a very large building.
I don't have a high Voltage D.C. power source but I do have a 13 to 15 volt AC to DC converter and hooked the volt gauge up to that. The needle did move up and down as I adjusted the voltage knob on my converter. The gauge did not register 15 volts, it only went up to an 8 volt reading but the needle did move up and down as the voltage was adjusted and I am amazed that the 600 volt gauge registered this low voltage at all. My continuity beeper did not sound when the posts were touched by my meter read 0587K on the readout screen.
The ampmeter I used my volt meter to read the ohms and the ohms registered at 38.9 ohms on the readout screen each of the several times I touched leads to the gauge wire posts. My continuity beeper did not sound but the meter did show the change in ohms.
The needles do move freely and bounce around when gauges are tilted or moved.
