ROBICON SCR Power Controller 17.7 KVA single phase Resistance & RF Induction Heating Unit?.
We are not completely sure what this unit was designed for. It looks like it might be for both RF induction and resistance heating. There is what looks like graphite at the center of the copper elements. everything looks to be liquid cooled. The enclosure is hinged at the back and tips up out of the way. The majority of the base of the unit is taken up by a large transformer like unit.
The control panel meters indicate 240 volts and up to 100 amp AC.
The unit below looks like a deviation based set-point controller that runs the SCR power unit in the base.
The connector on this panel do not go to anything.
The double copper poles at the back indicate 1000 and 2000 amps-we think at 12 and 15 volts rather than 1.2 and 2.5.
