The ACX is a general purpose , low cost, AC micro-controller which provides adjustable speed control of conventional AC motors in applications exhibiting a variety of load characteristics. The controler converts the fixed frequency and voltage of the AC line power source to a sine coded pulse width modulated adjustable voltage and frequency output. The power section utilizes Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBT's) operating at an adjustable carrier frequency providing high starting torque and cool motor operation.
