This is used to substitute resisters in logic, TV, Radio and PLATE CIRCUITS IN TUBE SETS Etc. This is a great tool for the repair of vintage radios. I used it many time in situations such as open resistors that are charred \and cannot be identify by measuring it with an ohm meter. Resistance from 15 ohms to 10M ohms in 32 steps.
You can substitute capacitors from .001 Microfarads to .22 Microfarads in 18 steps.
